Before we hit the silly season head-on, we thought it would be grand to get together for a sewing day! Hurrah! Hopefully you will have all seen the announcement on Facebook recently and saved the date.

When: Sunday 3 November, 9 am – 5 pm (or as long as you can stay in between)

Where: Calwell Community Centre (opposite the Calwell shops, corner of Were and Webber Crescents)

What: BYO sewing (or other crafting) project – whatever you like!

Please bring: your lunch, plus something to share for morning or afternoon tea (if you like!)

Also: Bring your own equipment, sewing machine, cutting mats etc. There are plenty of tables and chairs for us to set up and use as we like. Obviously we won’t want twenty ironing boards and irons set up in the room though, so if you’re needing this it might be a good idea for us to coordinate so we can share.

Destash: We’ll have a destash market at morning tea time, so if you’ve got some fabric goodies you’d like to re-home, please feel free to bring them along (and some $ so you can go home with just as much as you brought with you in the first place, maybe. Or is that just me?).

Cost: $20 for MQG members, $25 for non-members (please feel free to invite crafty friends along – make sure you RSVP for them here, numbers are limited to 22).
