Hi quilting peeps, I’m going to be doing a little demonstration on Thursday night of making hand-embroidered labels for quilts or anything else. I thought I’d do a ‘Canberra MQG’ label as a demonstration. So, if anyone would like to have a go on Thursday and make one with me, you will need to bring a few things:

• Iron on transfer pencil (if you have one)
• Piece of hard, clear plastic (such as a container lid) for tracing against
• Square of fabric approx 8 by 4 inch (pale colour is best)
• Needle
• Embroider thread
• Scissors
